MEET THE BAND
INFLUENCES All the alternative 90s sound (Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains) with a pinch of Metal. BIO The band was founded in 2019 by Nico (former Hydra bassist), Fabrizio and Alessio (former Blank drummer and guitarist) after the dissolution of theri bands. The idea was to mix the Hydra's Metal sound with the Blank's gritty Grunge. After a few months of rehearsals, in which the first songs are written, Stefano and Alessandro (Blank) join the line-up. The five-man line-up allows the band to refine vocal harmonies and guitar arrangements on new songs. The inability to play live due to the pandemic allows the band to focus themselves on the new songs and in December 2021 they records the first live demo at the Green Fog studio in Genoa. Stoned Turtle offer original songs with introspective lyrics on the sanguine sounds of an impetuous alternative rock. Fun fact: the very first idea was to build up a noise rock band (like the Sonic Youth). After some rehearsal sessions we decided to play less cacophonic songs 'cause, in Italy, not so many people love the noise rock. |

As our Featured Artist for the month of January, a random song from the band
Stoned Turtle will be played at the bottom of every hour (12:30, 1:30, 2:30, etc...)
during our Auto DJ hours. During live shows, some DJ's will play the featured artist at some point during their show.
